'Cross is notorious for being hard on equipment. Mud, rain, snow, crashes— they all take their toll. That's why with the CruX Sport, Specialized took their FACT 11r carbon frameset and spec'd it with Shimano's reliable, yet affordable, 105 groupset. Beginning with the frame, they implemented their Rider-First Engineered frame technology into the new frame. Using size-specific tubes and layups, the CruX features the same ride characteristics across the size range. Not only this, but Rider First-Engineered technology also allowed us to significantly drop the frameset weight—coming in at a scant 900 grams for a 56cm—over 400 grams lighter than the previous frameset. A light, stiff frame though isn't useful in a cross race if it isn't compliant, which is why the CruX meshes stiffness and compliance in all the right places. They also lowered the seat collar by two centimeters, allowing for more exposed seatpost and therefore cushion from big hits. Cyclocross races are often won in the corners and over the barriers, and the CruX geometry takes this into account. When hopping off to clear the barriers, the easy-to-shoulder top tube, with a large opening to the front triangle and flat bottom, is smooth and comfortable. The CruX geometry also features a low bottom bracket, to help with stability in hard corners and off camber sections, as well as a sharp front end to help initiate corners regardless of the terrain. With maximum mud shedding ability in mind, the CruX has eight-millimeters of clearance on all sides of a 33mm tire, providing plenty of clearance in even the worst conditions. After all, it's great to have a light weight bike, but if it's covered in 10 pounds of mud, frame weight is irrelevant. The carbon frame and Shimano 105 groupset is completed with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and Axis Sport Disc wheels to get you on the 'cross course or explore that dirt road you've been meaning to check out. - Specialized's FACT 11r carbon frame features a race-ready 'cross geometry, and comes equipped with thru-axles, 142mm rear spacing, and takes advantage of their highest quality carbon production methods in order to create a bike that's as responsive as it is lightweight. - The internally routed S-Works FACT carbon disc fork features a thru-axle design that increases steering response and rider input for the tight turns and the all-out efforts 'cross demands. - Shimano shifters, derailleurs, and brakes deliver reliable shifting and superb braking, so you can focus on the race ahead—not on your gear.

Smoother, faster, lighter, more control we could go on and on when it comes to the all-new Roubaix Expert with Shimano Ultegra Di2. If we were to describe it in one word, though, it would be "revolutionary." The frame is the lightest that we've ever made, and it's been constructed from our FACT 10r carbon fiber. Its stiffness levels are also off the charts, and compared to the SL4 iteration of yesteryear, you'll experience a whole new, faster, and more efficient geometry. Through some engineering sorcery, however, we've managed to keep the same fit, feel, and position that we've all come to love from the SL4. Of course, you're probably thinking, "get on to the suspension thing up front." We call it Future Shock, and essentially, it's a piston in the head tube with 20mm of travel. We developed this technology in partnership with McLaren Applied Technologies, and the result of this are a host of drastic performance improvements, namely in the vertical compliance department. Without giving a physics lecture, we found that focusing on vertical compliance, instead of fork splay, meant that we could improve smoothness, speed, and comfort in one fell swoop. And of all the bikes that we've tested with our Rolling Efficiency Model, the new Roubaix outperforms anything on the market. Lastly, we spec'd it top of the line equipment, like Ultegra Di2 shifting, hydraulic disc brakes, and tough DT R460 disc wheels. • Featuring our Rider-First Engineered design that ensures every frame size has the same legendary responsiveness and smooth ride quality that you'd expect from a Roubaix. The FACT 10r frameset is exceptional in every way, offering the ideal blend of light overall weight and targeted stiffness. Meanwhile, the all-new Future Shock "suspension" system at the cockpit delivers a revolutionary degree of comfort and control. • A Roubaix Disc fork is built from our top-end FACT 11r carbon fiber for supreme stiffness, strength, and reactivity, while a thru-axle design only stands to bolster all of the above. • Shimano Ultegra Di2 shifting offers 11-speeds of electronic wonderment. Shifts are as precise as it gets, dropping chains becomes a rarity, and the trim adjust up front ensures that chain rub is a thing of the past no matter how extreme your cross-chaining gets. Please note that this bike does not come with pedals. If you're looking for the perfect bike to tackle you first triathlon, or if you're just looking to set a new PR, the wind-cheating Shiv Elite needs to be your weapon of choice against the wind. Its full FACT 10r carbon fiber frame was developed in our very own Win Tunnel, and it's not only been aerodynamically optimized for straight-line speed, but it also features airfoils that have been optimized to limit side force in crosswinds. A bike can only be as fast as its rider, though, which is why we also developed the Control Tower fit system that let's you optimize your stack and reach numbers in order to find your most comfortable and powerful position for your desired length. Next up comes the Fuelselage Hydration System that houses a water bladder inside of the frame, making it virtually invisible to the wind. And to go along with your water, the Fuelcell fits plenty of food and even has room for a flat kit. The best part of the Fuelselage and Fuelcell combination is that, when packed correctly, it cleans up the frame and saves up to 75 seconds when compared to a taped-up system. Finally, the Shiv Elite comes spec'd with a mix of Shimano 105 and Praxis components, and it's been topped off with durable, smooth-rolling DT R460 wheels. - The FACT 10r carbon frame is lightweight and extremely responsive. It features crosswind-optimized airfoils for enhanced aerodynamic performance, while the Control Tower Fit System and Fuelselage Integrated Hydration System provide versatile fit options and nutrition integration. - FACT Aero carbon fork utilizes our most advanced carbon construction methods to provide precise steering and rider input, while also improving overall aerodynamics.
